Some of my favourite flowers are these giant oriental/ornamental poppies with their huge silken petals, paper thin. I decided to get my oil pastels out again yesterday after what must be about 5 years (I can't believe I've neglected them that long) and had almost forgotten how to work with them. Needless to say, perseverance paid off and I'm left with these mottled beauties. Now to get them framed.
